How It All Started

European Look in Half bath

European Look Half Bath - No wallpaper issues here!

In 1995, I began a painting project in a small bathroom in our home. It was a “difficult” room in our house with no windows and poor ventilation.  Wallpaper simply would not stay on the walls so I decided to try my hand at decorative painting. It was not long after the work was completed that friends, neighbors and family members were requesting that I help them with painting finishes in their homes and several years later, my hobby became a new career path for me.

Soon, I was reading books on decorative painting techniques and I was eager to begin work on new projects. I studied and tested a variety of products and kept practicing until the look I was striving for was achieved.  In addition, I have taken classes and have received private instruction from some extremely talented faux painters whose experience has been invaluable to me by expanding my horizons as a professional and I extend my appreciation to them.

Places Decorative Painting has Taken Me

Over time, I have worked in homes ranging from an 800 square foot farmhouse to a 7,700 square foot mansion, and nearly every size home in between. It has been fulfilling to work with such a variety of wonderful people by assisting them in transforming their homes to be uniquely theirs by adding color, texture and character to their walls, columns, cabinetry, furniture and even their home decor.

My job as a decorative painter brings such satisfaction when, at the end of  a project, a client comes home, shares my excitement over the change in a room and says “Wow, I had no idea this room could go from plain and boring, to absolutely stunning.”

Thanks for taking a look at my website! I’d be delighted to hear from you so together we can begin to transform your home or office.
